The station is located in an isolated scientific complex. The STS-6 is emplaced in a cased borehole drilled into granite and gneiss at a depth of 217 feet. The Trillium120PH is set in a shallow borehole adjacent to the STS-6 borehole.
Forestry Service complex about 5 km from the town of Mbarara. It is a borehole deployment.
