Recent Maintenance – SIMI

2021.05.05

The station is back up as of day 2021,124 after the station operators visited the station and replaced the entire GPS cable.  Further instructions are being sent to test another Q330 digitizer and install a Citel surge protector.

2020.10.02

The station operators have visited the station and report simi2 station computer failure and GPS antenna inspection.  GPS issues are still being investigated and the simi2 station computer will be replaced.

2019.11.04

The station is down due to problems with the GPS and station computer.  IDA engineers are working with the station operator to resolve these issues.

2019.07.27

The GPS clock is locked and the station is back up following station computer and Q330 digitizer reboots on day 2019,208 (July 27).

The station operators visited the station and replaced the GPS cable.  Data acquisition was restored, however the Q330 digitizer rebooted and the GPS clock remains unlocked. The station is down as of day 2019,206-07:44.

The GPS clock at SIMI has been unlocked since day 2019,131 (May 11).

The station is back online as of day 2017,355-09:55 after the station operator visited the station and restored data acquisition.

The station is down as of day 2017,320-07:32 due to communication problems between the digitizers and station computers. IDA engineers are working with the station operators to troubleshoot this issue.

New station SIMI, in Simiganj, Tajikistan installed with a Quanterra Q330 data acquisition system.  Sensors include a Trillium 240 broadband seismometer, and an Episensor FBA ES-T strong motion detector.
