The station operator replaced the STS-1 seismometers with a Trillium360 seismometer on day 2022,033.

The station operator replaced the station computers with new ones running FBSD 10.2.

2020.02.13

An IDA engineer visited the station and replaced the STS-2.5 seismometer, and upgraded the firmware for the Q330 digitizers.

The station operator replaced the uoss00 digitizer and restored data acquisition as of day 2018,066 (Mar. 7).

The station operator visited the station and reported the uoss00 digitizer has failed.  He connected the GPS clock to the uoss10 digitizer and the station is back up as of day 2018,024-08:22 UTC.

The station is down due problems with the uoss00 digitizer that are yet to be determined.  Timing of data from the uoss10 digitizer is uncertain since day 2017,363-14:40 due to no GPS clock.

An IDA engineer visited the station and replaced the STS-2.5, and switched the configuration of the Setra and Paroscientific barometers.

IDA station UOSS is acquiring data after an IDA engineer visited the station and restored power.

IDA station UOSS is down as of day 2013,227-20:46 due to power problems.

There are frequent equipment power cycles at the station for reasons yet to be determined. This is causing data gaps since day 2013,211.

IDA station UOSS is back online as of day 2013,149-08:09 after an IDA engineer visited the station and upgraded the power system. The power system was converted from AC to DC power during the upgrade.

The station operator reports a problem with power to the station. A faulty UPS is suspected. IDA engineers are working with the station operator to resolve this problem.

IDA station UOSS is down since day 2013,054-09:31 for reasons yet to be determined. There is no connection to the station computer. The station operator has been requested to visit the station to investigate.

Telemetry is back after a general power failure. When ISP equipment power was restored, the station came back online.

An IDA engineer visited the station to calibrate sensors, replace the seismometer interface and replace the STS-2 seismometer with an STS-2.5.

New station UOSS installed in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates with two Q330HR data acquisition systems. Sensors installed include STS-1 broadband and STS-2 short period seismometers, a strong motion sensor and a Paroscientific microbarograph.
